Personal incidentals—such as bar bills, telephone expenses, laundry and taxi rides—are at your own expense. Please make your own flight arrangements.

The full fee is US$395 for the land arrangements. Upon acceptance, please send us your full payment to hold your space. Please make your own flight arrangements.

When do I get my travel documents?

Please check the online Summit Program. It will be updated with final details by the end of June.

What kind of weather do I expect?

You will experience the splendor of late autumn in Austria. The average temperature for this time is between 37° Fahrenheit (3° Celsius), and 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius). In the western part of Austria, the temperatures can be a few degrees lower. Showers, rain, and snow are always possible, especially in the mountain region.

Who are the other participants?

59 top retail travel advisors from the U.S. and Australia.

Will there be Non-Smoking rooms?

Yes. Please indicate your preference in your online Registration.

Can special diets be accommodated?

Yes. Please specify your dietary requirements in the Registration.

What is the dress code and what should I pack?

We suggest business attire for the destination day, and elegant attire for the Vienna evening programs. For all other program activities, attire is business/smart casual and active wear for the outdoor programs. We will also be staying in some spas hotels (in Styria and Tirol) where you should bring a bathing suit.

Bring good walking shoes (a lot of sightseeing is done on foot); warm, comfortable clothes (ideally layers); and a wind breaker. Don’t bring any electronic devices that are not 110/230 volt or cell phones that don’t have GSM service. If you use your cell phone, make sure you sign up for international service with your provider to save money. Austria has very good phone reception in even the most remote areas.

How do I handle tips?

Tipping is generally included, but if you feel you have received good service, use your discretion.

Where can I change money?

You will be able to convert money at the airport or during the week at local banks. Major credit cards are accepted in Austria, but usage is more limited than it is in North America and Australia. ATMs throughout Austria accept bank cards (Plus and Cirrus) with four-digit passwords and often offer competitive exchange rates. The current exchange rate for US$1.00 is 0.81 Euro; Check currency exchanges closer to departure for updated rates.
